I've made it my mission to travel out of town as often as I possibly can this year. Whether that's thousands of miles away or just a few hours down the road. Austin was of course first up this year. I've been plenty of times but when I saw Bon Iver was coming to ATX, I jumped on that ticket and booked an AirBnB. He was incredible as expected! But the entire weekend itself was everything a relaxing weekend away should be. A slow stroll through an art museum, a comfortable stay in an airstream, a delicious authentic Mexican meal at El Naranjo, deep discussions with your loved one, a few extra hours of sleep, a warm cup of coffee, and a drive down a country road to a lovely church.
What I wouldn't give to have every weekend be that way.
