Mel's Fall Faves: 2018
Fall. The sunsets convert into a deeper, fiery veil that descends on us, with it’s flecks of gold and red seeping into our everyday lives from the leaves on the trees, to our lattes. Unfortunately, Houston, as you may know if you are a native, is forever delayed on all the seasons except for good ol’ summer. Summer, is never late and always overstays its welcome, because of that our city hasn’t quite received the message about the changing season. Will that stop me for digging out all my fall sweaters, boots and cords, to have at the ready for that first glorious gust of autumn wind? NOPE!
Generally my style borders on either doing the most or being damn comfortable. Doing the most this fall means refusing to believe in all the bs labor day rules, wearing loud patterns, and finishing it off with small gold accents. I will don ankle-high white leather boots, with the most gorgeous heel detailing, paired with some culottes that are work and bad bitch approved, and long sleeved blouses and sweaters that have been begging to see the light of day, mostly by me.
I’m sure you all think you’ve seen the last of me and my overalls, and I’m here to say HA! What can I say? I love being extra, but when it comes down to it, I will almost always choose comfort. You’ll find me in the most minimalistic graphic tee, jeans/jumpers, and some kicks. Simplicity, with the slightest pop of heat on the feet. It’s my go to this for life, and only changes it’s tones in fall.

Mel
